Fundraising on-line is a great way to support EMAS CANADA or your chosen EMAS project or programme. It's a way that you can make full use of existing technology to help change the lives of people around the world and make a difference, right where you are.

It's easy to set up your own customized web page, dedicated to YOUR chosen EMAS CANADA cause, on CanadaHelps.org. Then promote your web page to family, friends and supporters, who can then donate through your web page. It's that simple! Click here to see a sample Giving Page. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to get started.

How to Fundraise On-line

To start your own customized web page, go to Giving Pages on CanadaHelps.org. If you don't already have an account with them, register to create one. Once you have registered, follow the instructions to create a customized Giving Page dedicated to YOUR cause.

You will be able to post a brief description of your project, a photo, select EMAS CANADA as the charity you wish to support, post your fundraising goal and a list of all donations received.

Once you have set up your Giving Page, in "View" mode, you can promote it to your family, friends and supporters with the CanadaHelps tools, by clicking on the "Share/Save" icon and then making a selection.

You can also copy the web page address, at the very top of the screen, and then do one or more of the following:

• paste the link in an e-mail and send to your supporters;
• promote the link to your friends on Facebook or your other
  favourite networking sites;
• add the link to your website or your blog;
• include the link in your e-mail signature file.

This way, your supporters can click on your link, visit your customized web page and donate on-line. They can also find your Giving Page by going to www.CanadaHelps.org, clicking on the "Giving Pages" link on the right of the screen, and searching for your name. 

CanadaHelps will process the Interact, credit card and Paypal payments, at no cost to you, and will then transfer funds to EMAS CANADA, withholding a reasonable 3.9% processing fee. The process is very secure and easy to set up with their step-by-step instructions. The rest is up to you!
