Haiti - Building Project
The El-Shaddai church community, in Bon Repos, just outside of Port-au-Prince, has plans to build and operate a much-needed Community Health Centre. It will be a holistic healing centre starting with a church, which will also be used as a school. Then a medical/dental facility will be added. They have started building with volunteer workers, believing God to provide funds. A gift of $50 will purchase one square foot for the construction of the new Community Health Centre.
Russia - Family Health Kits
In the rural areas, for many families, the nearest pharmacy is one or two days' journey away. Our health kits are designed to meet the needs of a family of four and contain medications to treat things such as a headache, fever, heart conditions, food poisoning, upset stomach, diarrhea, skin and eye infections and many other illnesses. Also included are bandages, vitamins, a copy of the New Testament and a Gospel bracelet which explains the plan of salvation. Give a gift of $250 for 10 kits.
China East - Medical Insurance
Many families with chronic illness, in Dalian, Liao Ning Province, cannot afford the medical treatment they so desperately need. The EMAS team has developed a program to help cover these healthcare costs. You can help alleviate this suffering. A gift of $450 buys medical insurance for a poor family with chronic illness for a period of one year.
China South - Child's Surgery
Many families of children who need surgery cannot afford to pay for it. The children struggle through life without the interventions they need.
A gift of $600 will cover the expenses incurred to provide surgery for a child with a cleft lip, a cleft palate, injuries, burns, congenital deformities or surgery for a child in need of traumatic amputation.
Malawi - Mosquito Nets
Malaria has killed more people in the tropics than any other infectious disease. It is the cause of over 40% of deaths in children under two. The EMAS team hands out insecticide-treated mosquito nets to protect people from infected mosquitoes and prevent them from catching malaria. A gift of $50 can save lives by providing 10 mosquito nets.
Student Missions Fund
EMAS provides some funding to help students complete and elective on an overseas mission. Encourage a possible missionary by donating to a Christian medical or dental student’s bursary. Help ignite a heart towards missions by contributing to his/her first mission trip. Give a gift to the Student Missions Fund.
