The need for a broad range of medical and dental services in Mongolia is great. Access to primary healthcare, clean water and sanitation is still a problem. Maternal and child health, is of great concern and mortality and morbidity rates from cardiovascular disease and cancers greatly exceed those of Western countries.

December 2008

There is much need of medical and dental services in Mongolia. Our goal is to spread the gospel while bringing assistance to the public. We have been assisting people in an old folks home, in an orphanage camp, herdsmen, and prisoners.

November 2007

Freedom of religion in Mongolia enables EMAS members to spread the gospel and glorify His name while providing medical and dental services to the public. We have been assisting seniors in an old folks home, children in an orphanage camp, herdsmen and prisoners in a prison-camp.

June 2006 Mission Trip

This Mongolia venture was an exploratory trip to make assessments for future trips. Pastor Mojic's congregation helped us with the language barriers.

In the province of Hovd, we attended the celebration of a graduating Leadership Ministry Class and provided medical and dental services to the public. We also treated the orphans and the seniors at the old folks home and visited nomadic herdsmen in the Gobi Desert.

At Ulan Batar, the medical team worked at the hospital every day and the dental team worked at a number of orphanages. We treated most of the cavities and advised the director to take the children to the hospital for further treatment.

Both the medical and the dental teams spent a day at a prison-camp as prisoners are only brought to the hospital for emergency treatment; the on-site clinic does not administer medications but only performs very basic procedures for minor injuries. It was the last day of our mission, so we left all the medical supplies at the prison-camp.

The need for wide-range medical and dental services in Mongolia is great, and EMAS members are encouraged to participate in this venture.
