In difficult times as has been with the pandemic-related restrictions, curfews, disease, deaths, income instability, and all the uncertainty we are still going through it is easy to become discouraged.

God not only speaks tenderly to (re)assure us of His promises, but also plans prophylactically for our despondency by giving us work to do.

Words of comfort for the future do not always penetrate the dark seemingly endless days of prolonged waiting. As time takes its toll, we wither emotionally and physically, processes that seem to accelerate every winter. But having something to do puts spring into our lives, so God gives us a partnership in His grand redemptive work.

Aware of our transience, God uses the permanence of His word to give our temporal lives eternal value by calling us to work with Him for eternal outcomes. Hence our tagline:

Healing Today, Teaching for Tomorrow and for Eternity.

The message of Isaiah seven hundred years before the Common Era was a call to prepare for people to meet God. It tells us to get ready, God is going to show up like never before and everyone would get a chance to meet Him.

The work delegated to EMAS by Divine partnership enables access for His arrival in peoples lives everywhere.

A story is told of four enterprising people who envisioned their sick friend getting medical attention, who by coordinated effort, tenacity, and innovation (overheads notwithstanding)

made a way through narrow streets and a hole in the roof to get their mission accomplished: their patient met the Doctor and got his treatment. The healing was both immediate and for eternity, physical and spiritual.

That story inspires us, and we know the authority of Jesus Christ.

EMAS Canada is pooling resources with  The Sisters of Holy Cross,  to make healthcare services and education available to women and children in rural Burkina Faso, because we believe God wants to Personally meet those needs.
